Logistics and Packaging

Product integrity becomes part of the line cycle.

VeriSeal combines label personalization, automatic assignment, inline inspection and logistics events – from packaging to receipt of goods.

Initial position

Automation fails if identities are only subsequently merged.

  • 01NFC, UHF, QR, serial number and packaging unit must belong together without errors.
  • 02High clock rates do not allow manual individual control of each assignment.
  • 03Production, aggregation and logistics events are often in separate systems.

VeriSeal for your industry

From risk to Verifiable status.

01

Automatic allocation

Stations link product, NFC, UHF and visible marking transaction-proof.

02

Inline test

Reader, camera and tamper control confirm data, position and functional status.

03

UHF mass reading

Cartonboard, pallet or goods receipt can be detected quickly and without visual contact.

04

EPCIS & ERP

Standardized events and adapters pass status to production, warehouse and supply chain.

This is how it works

An identity. Continuously linked.

01

Personalisation

Keys, identity and secure tag data are generated in a controlled manner.

02

Application

The label is affixed and linked to the product, packaging and order.

03

Verify inline

RF, image and tamper checks prevent faulty or reversed units.

04

Activation

Only after successful verification is the identity released for supply chain and scan.

Measurable in the pilot

Success becomes visible – Without marketing figures.

VeriSeal is evaluated on the basis of real process indicators. Target values are derived together from the specific application.

First-pass yield

Proportion of correctly personalised, applied, assigned and tested units without rework.

Reading quality

Success rate by day type, reader, position, packaging material and line speed.

Reject ratio

Share of locked units after RF, image, OCR, tamper or assignment check.

Event latency

Time from machine event to consistent deployment in ERP, MES, WMS or EPCIS.

Concrete operational cases

This is how VeriSeal is in usable everyday.

01

Packaging line

NFC, UHF, QR and serial number are automatically read, assigned and checked upon application.

Result: fewer interchanges and rework
02

Aggregation

Single product, carton and pallet are logically linked via their identities and packing events.

Result: traceable packaging hierarchy
03

Incoming goods and inventory

UHF captures many units, while NFC handles the targeted authenticity and detail verification.

Result: fast process with proof of detail

Security architecture

Multilayer instead UID-dependent.

The test statement is derived from chip cryptography, product status, event history and controlled server logic. The UID remains a complementary feature.

01

Personalization station

Secure tag data and key profiles are generated and checked in a controlled manner.

02

Transaction-safe allocation

Product, NFC, UHF, QR, order and packaging stage are brought together atomically.

03

Inline Quality Gate

Reader, camera, OCR and tamper signal decide on release, lock or rework.

04

Event hub

REST, Webhooks, mTLS and EPCIS allocate tested statuses to ERP, MES, WMS and Analytics.

Digital product identity

Typical data

  • Order, article, batch and serial number
  • NFC-ID, UHF-EPC, QR and barcode content
  • Packaging stage, carton and pallet allocation
  • Line, station, timestamp and test result
  • Tamper, image, OCR and RF test status
  • Dispatch, receipt and inventory events

Connection capability

Systems and Interfaces

  • SPS/PLC and linear guidance system
  • MES, ERP and Warehouse Management
  • UHF reader, NFC write station and C42 scanner
  • Camera, OCR and Industrial Imaging
  • GS1 Digital Link and EPCIS events
  • REST, Webhook and mTLS machine interfaces

Classification

Process environment

  • Label printing, personalization and key delivery
  • Application, serialization and inline control
  • Aggregation of unit, carton and pallet
  • Exit of goods, transport and receipt of goods
  • Suspension, rework and exceptional treatment

VeriSeal technically supports these processes. The specific validation, approval and regulatory evaluation is customer-specific.

A meaningful start

From the sample to the robust pilot.

A delimited test combines real sample labels, real product data, system connection and a traceable testing process.

  1. 01Delineate a line, a product and the desired packaging stage
  2. 02Record readers, scanners and existing machine communication
  3. 03Test assignment, camera/RF testing and error cases with sample labels
  4. 04Evaluate throughput, reading quality, exception process and ERP events

Frequent questions

Clarity before the Pilot launch.

Can VeriSeal be used at high line speed?+

Yes, if readers, antennas, label position, material and exceptional process are qualified for the specific line. The pilot measures the real reading quality and cycle compatibility.

Which reader is supported?+

VeriSeal is manufacturer-neutral. C42 scanners, UHF portals, NFC writing stations and camera/OCR systems are connected via adapters and documented APIs.

What happens to an incorrect assignment?+

The unit is not activated, logged as an exception and transferred to a defined blocking or reworking process.

Does the system support packaging hierarchies?+

Yes, single product, bundle, carton and pallet can be linked via aggregation and EPCIS events.

Proof rather than assertion

An identity from production order to recipient.

VeriSeal manages NFC, UHF, QR and barcode as equivalent identifiers of the same object and provides their events via APIs and EPCIS.
